Andrea! I'm loving your blog. This is wonderful and I'm passing it on to all my mama friends. You make me laugh and wish we lived closer and could hang out. And, of course, so our kids could play together. And yes, my son Jaden has a Sponge Bob Square Pants pillowcase and loves dressing up like a princess. But ONLY if he can have the matching yellow slippers that go with the yellow princess dress.
Well done and keep it comin'.
xoxo

Loved this and I can totally relate. Sometimes I wonder how my child has enough energy to drive me crazy the way she turns down a lot of the food I make. I can't even tell you how many articles and books I've read on "How to get your finicky eater to eat". I eventually just gave in and took the high road (read: the easier road). This of course means that we have resorted to having "nights". You know, breakfast for dinner night, pasta night (which actually has at least 2 to 3 nights of the week), etc... But what really mystifies me to no end is that whenever we have dinner at your sisters house and I try to get Micah to eat something icky aka unfamiliar, she just scrunches up her face and shakes her head no. No matter what I do, she clearly has no intention of eating it. However, let your sister even kinda sorta hint that maybe she should try it, just for a second taste just a miniscule tiny speck of a piece and she gobbles it up!!!!! Go figure. LOL!

Read this installment; loved it... Understanding that it is wiser to acquiesce and let "them" have it their way, and let their parent handle it, can be a hard lesson, especially when it seems a waste of perfectly good food... Oh, well, more for me! LOL
